Support Black Arizona helps qualifying businesses, organizations, and community resources become more visible and discoverable across Arizona.
Who may submit
Eligible listings may include qualifying Black-owned businesses, small businesses, nonprofits, community and faith-based organizations, artists and creatives, independent professionals, public resources, home-based businesses, mobile businesses, online businesses, service-area businesses, and other approved organizations serving Arizona’s Black community.
A free basic listing is foundational. Inclusion means a listing met the applicable standards at review; it is not a product, service, legal-compliance, safety, or quality endorsement.
What we ask for
Private applicant information
Your name and private email, phone, authority to submit, and any verification location are used for review and communication. They are not automatically public.
Proposed public listing information
Business name, description, category, public contact details, website, social profiles, services, hours, and approved public location or service-area information may be published after approval.
Location privacy
Home-based, mobile, online-only, service-area, and appointment-based participants do not need to authorize publication of a residential address. You can provide a private verification location separately from the city, region, ZIP code, county, or service area proposed for public display.
What happens after submission
- Fluent Forms stores your submission in the Pinnacle review queue.
- Staff review eligibility, completeness, duplicates, classification, and privacy needs.
- Verification may be requested when required.
- The outcome may be Approved, Revision Requested, Pending Verification, or Denied.
- If approved, staff manually creates or updates the GeoDirectory listing and follows up using your private contact information.
Initial review is targeted within five business days. Verification review may take up to ten business days when additional verification is required. Quality, accuracy, and protection remain more important than speed. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Optional Business Feature interest
You may express interest in a Support Black Arizona Business Feature during intake. Interest is optional, separate from directory review and commercial participation, and does not constitute interview consent, recording consent, a media release, publication consent, or a guarantee of selection.
